Who do you Call to Replace a Hot Water Heater?

If your hot water isn’t hot anymore, or you notice water pooling around your hot water heater, you will need to call a local plumber out to determine what’s wrong with your water heater. While more minor issues, like a broken thermocouple can be repaired with the right replacement part and the knowhow to get the job done, more major issues like a cracked hot water tank cannot be fixed. If the tank itself is broken, the hot water tank will need to be replaced by a licensed plumber. An experienced plumber will remove the old tank and haul it away after installing and testing a new unit to ensure it works correctly.

Using a professional plumber ensures that the work will be done correctly without damaging your home. If you try to replace your own hot water heater, you run the risk of not connecting the new unit properly, allowing water to leak into your home, or damaging your walls or flooring while trying to get the old one out. Additionally, if you do the work yourself you will have to pay to legally dispose of the old unit as well as haul it to a disposal site on your own. However, when you hire a plumber to do the work for you, the disposal cost is included in the price of the work.
